Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted
to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never
be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be
joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's
people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:9-13,
NIV).
Deaconesses, supported by everyone in the church, stand ready to bring
meals to those who need help, regardless of the circumstances. The church
is concerned for our brothers' and sisters' welfare, needs and spiritual
condition, sympathizing with them and helping them in sorrows and troubles.
A helping hand always reaches out to those who have lost a love one or
friend, and the whole church helps when it has occasion for a funeral.
The basement has a well-equipped kitchen and can easily serve meals for
over 100 people. Weddings, baptisms, and the welcoming of new members are
celebrated with enthusiasm. The Lord has commanded his people, Rejoice
with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. (Romans 12:15 NIV.)
Strangers are welcome, and this church
of God stands ready
to serve in any way possible. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for
by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
(Hebrews 13:2 NIV.)
We are ready to pray with you and for you. Someone always stands ready
to say "Hi" and shake your hand. You are welcome, for this little
church simply obeys the Lord's command to love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with
all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. (Luke 10:27 NIV.)
