Request Praise and Prayer
Hear a just cause, O LORD, give heed to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.
Psalm 17:1 (NIV)
Why Should You Pray?
Prayer is spiritual communication between you and God. You might pray to offer up thanks, worship, and supplication. You might pray to seek guidance and repentance or pray for comfort and strength. You might pray when the burdens placed on your shoulders become to difficult for you to carry. You might pray on the behalf of others or yourself when you have a request or need His help.
God does answer prayers. However, he answers them in his own time. His answer may not always be the one we would like to receive, but it will conform with his will and his plan. God is in control and we can be thankful for that.
The Scriptures tell us to pray in Spirit with a pure heart and to pray for one another. Sometimes it's hard to know how to pray and you may not have the right words to say. However, God knows your heart and He understands your thoughts.
